Project Details: On Dated 6th of February 2018, Rotaract Club Of Kakarvitta in association with Durga Chandra Memorial Trust (Technical Support Mechi Netralaya) & Pradhan Diagonostic Centre and Kantipur Medicine CentreOrganised a one day “Eye Screening And Dental Check-up Campaign” in the premises of Shree Araniko Primary School (SAP Area). Altogher 140 Students Were Benefitted From The Campaign.
Mechi Netralaya is governed under the guiding principles of providing medical and surgical ophthalmic services to patients with care, compassion and commitment.Mechi Netralaya is well known for its reliable, prompt and inexpensive expert ophthalmic care with state of art technology.Mechi Netralaya is situated in Kakarvitta, which is on the Nepal-India border at the eastern region of Nepal. Mechi River Bridge marks the boundary between Nepal and India.
Dr Sharad C Rai is the pioneer in the establishment of Mechi Netralaya.
After having worked in the field of Ophthalmology in Nepal since the year 1997, he had a vision of establishing a fully fledged eye centre in his home town where he could serve the community which has helped him in numerous ways since his childhood.
With this mission of altruistic community service Dr Sharad C Rai established Mechi Netralaya in the year 2007. Since then till date Mechi Netralaya has developed itself leaps and bound to establish itself as, “A Centre Of Excellence In Phacoemulsification”, in the Eastern region of Nepal catering to needy patients of Nepal along with its neighbouring countries like India, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
